I cannot express how amazing Camp Broadway has been for me. It has given me some of the best experiences any young, aspiring performer can get and I am truly thankful. Here, I have made friendships that I know will last a lifetime, along with some of the best training in vocals, choreography, and acting. At Camp Broadway, I know I can take risks on the stage; without being judged or laughed at. The environment made by all of my fellow campers makes you feel like you're in one of the safest places on Earth. I am learning more and more about myself each year at Camp Broadway. I now know what my boundaries are, and how far I can push myself. Whether I'm struggling with a monologue, or can't seem to end on the right beat, I know I can always better myself and become a stronger performer because of Camp Broadway.
Going into my fifth year of camp, I am ecstatic. I am excited for the hard work that is to come each day, along with the daily thrill of wondering what is to come. This is where I am learning everything to "make it big," someday. Camp Broadway really has shaped me into the person I am, both on the stage, and in everyday life, and I can't wait to see how much I grow this year. After 5 years, I am still in awe of the fact that I have been given this opportunity. In theater, I feel I have come as far as I am today thanks to Camp Broadway.
The most popular Broadway camp hits the road every summer to bring their high quality theatre camp across the country. Our Buffalo campers just love the camp and return year after year.
Learn why six-year camper Christopher Desiderio is returning this summer.
As a returning Camper, this will be my 6th year and each year has been so much fun. I have made so many friends there who have come to support me at my musicals! In some cases some of them have performed in my schools musical! I have experienced so many special moments the laughter, the whole Broadway performer experience, and the friends! This Camp allows us kids to perform on such a beautiful stage that only touring actors get to perform on, what a thrill! If someone were to ask me what I was most looking forward to in the Summer I would say Camp Broadway!
There are still spots available in both camps. Visit our Camp Materials page for more details or contact Holly Grant at email@example.com for more information.
In 2017, we added the camp The Next Step for our older campers looking for a more intensive training experience. Buffalo is excited to be the first city outside of New York City to offer this program. But what is The Next Step and why should you sign your theatre-loving teenager up for the camp?
into an immersive theatrical environment designed to give participants the opportunity to understand what it’s really like to be a Broadway “Gypsy."
What is a Broadway gypsy? Broadway gypsies are members of the chorus or ensemble who travel from show to show. They have a large number of productions under their belt. You may not know their names, but you've most likely seen them before. Chita Rivera is probably the most well known and is lovingly known as the "Queen of the gypsies."

More than any other program, The Next Step captures the essence of Camp Broadway’s mantra, Develop Your Character. Each element of the 5-day event is designed to hone musical theater abilities, enhance interpersonal skills, and cultivate the habit of discipline that dedicated theatrical artist need to have. Through singing, dancing, and acting workshops participants will “discover their character,” be it an ingenue, leading man, a comedic performer, or a belting diva. Over the course of the five days, they will channel this character in preparation for The Next Step Showcase, performed at Shea's 710 Theatre.
Camp Broadway’s team promises a program that uses the process of exploring art to inspire a more self-aware young artist.
